Why Accreditation?

Accreditation blends external quality control (compliance with standards and best practices) with an assessment of the degree of adherence to a school's mission. It employs a process of evaluation that combines internal self-scrutiny with an external review by a team of peers. Both the internal and external reviews bring helpful and accurate commendations, suggestions, and recommendations for the purposes of validation and on-going school improvement.

Accreditation can help refine a school's goals, and provide direction and focus for future planning by its board.

To be designated as accredited, a school must voluntarily participate in the evaluation of its governance, operations, and programs using the SAES Standards as its measure of effectiveness. This process affirms that which the school does well and suggests improvements where necessary.
