Parent's Council
The Parent's Council was established by the board of trustees to provide an avenue by which a all parents have access to volunteer opportunities at St. Matthew's Episcopal School. Beginning with the 2001-02 school year, the Parent's Council became responsible for the school's two major fundraisers, Fall Fest and La Noche de Los Angeles, as well as establishing committees to help with other school activities. All parents are considered members of the Parent's Council. In addition, each class has a designated Parent's Council representative who attends all monthly meetings and disseminates information to their classroom parents. Childcare is provided for these meetings. The Parent's Council has been and continues to be a wonderful avenue for parents to be actively involved in their child's school. This council has provided an outstanding bridge between parents, teachers, and administration. All parents are given the opportunity to volunteer. |
